Teratai Design Studio is an innovative online architecture practice dedicated to crafting elegant, affordable modular timber structures that connect people, place and purpose.

Led by Charlotte Louise Chambers, a UK trained architect with over a decade of experience in modular timber design and digital fabrication using Building Information Modeling (BIM), the studio operates with a flexible, remote team to deliver thoughtful architecture for clients around the world.

Charlotte draws on her international experience to design sustainable timber buildings that are both efficient streamlined with digital workflows combined with her hands on building knowledge.

Previously, Charlotte worked at Waugh Thistleton Architects, global pioneers in mass timber construction, where she designed and coordinated award winning projects including MIND in Milan, the headquarters for Startwell in Amsterdam, Euston Tower, and the Black & White Building in London.

She earned her qualifications from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, ranked the world’s top architecture school.
